1. To chose the best shoe for you, you need to know your foot strike characteristic. You will fall into one of the following three categories:

 

  • Over Pronators

  • Under Pronators

  • Neutral

If you're not sure which category you are in, pay a visit to your local running store, they will help you determine if you have a pronation problem.

2. Select a shoe designed to correct any pronation

Chose a shoe which best meets your needs according to the table below. The sample shoes shown below are just that, there are many other brands you can pick from.

Over Pronate

If you seriously over-pronate, you need a motion control running shoe

 Over Pronate

If you mildly over pronate a stability shoe will help
